Introducing the New SFMOMA

Return to lobby

December 1, 2011, 7:00 p.m. PST, Novellus Theater, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts

For the first time in public, Craig Dykers, one of the principals of architecture firm Snøhetta, will unveil and discuss new details of the design for SFMOMA's expansion. This is an extraordinary opportunity to glimpse SFMOMA's future. Formed in 1989, Snøhetta is known for what one critic called an "architecture of engagement": innovative, dynamic, stunning structures that bring communities together and deliver compelling cultural experiences. Key Snøhetta projects include the New National Opera in Oslo and the National September 11 Memorial and Museum Pavilion in New York.

Don't miss Rooftop TV: The Future Museum, a special online conversation with Dykers and special guests on December 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. PST.
